Mississippi River Marathon
The Mississippi River Marathon offers the only marathon in the Mississippi Delta and a variety of opportunities that no other race in the world can offer. Our goal is first, for people across the nation, especially in the Delta communities, to get excited about healthy lifestyles by supporting and participating in our running events. Second, this marathon was created to help all children receive an excellent education by donating funds raised to the Washington County and Southeast Arkansas Community Foundations.

Big Buffalo 50
The Cancer Kickers Big Buffalo 50 is the largest annual fundraiser for the Cancer Kickers Soccer Club. CKSC is a local 501c3 founded in 2016 by Michelle and Chris Clothier. The organization is committed to providing comfort, community, and connections to children around the world who are battling cancer. To date, the Cancer Kickers Soccer Club has provided over 2,500 kits to deserving children.
We would love to have the help of the Memphis running community! At registration, you will have the opportunity to make a donation to the Cancer Kickers Soccer Club. Every single dollar donated goes directly to the organization. It costs $300 to provide one child with a kit. That means that each relay team that registers is supporting a child battling cancer! Additionally, every four 50k runners and every three 50 mile runners that register are also supporting a child. We would be so grateful to have your financial support. Every dollar counts, no matter how large or small your gift! Together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of these brave kids!

Our event has become the largest of its kind in NW Mississippi with over 9,500 participants raising over $465,000 for the Hernando DeSoto Affiliate of Habitat for Humanity.
The success of the HomeRun for Habitat depends on community participation and sponsorship. Habitat for Humanity needs your help. Once again, our goal is to raise $60,000 to help build ONE HOME. Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent affordable place to live. The Hernando DeSoto affiliate selects deserving families from a pool of applicants to be awarded a home. Each selected family participates in the construction and commits to pay a 20 year, 0% interest mortgage. In 2014, the first Habitat award recipient paid off her mortgage and now owns her home debt free; since then others have completed theirs as well!
